报告题目：On the recent development of four questions related to measure of noncompactness

Abstract: This is a survey introducing the recent development of the following four question：1. Do there exist inequivalent regular measures of noncompacrness in every infinite dimensional Banach space？ 2. Let ɑ be the Kuratowdki measure of noncompactness defined on a metric space M，and B be a bounded set of M. Is there a countable subset of B such that ？3. Does the following fundamental integral inequality related to measure of noncompactness hold for all regular measures of noncompactness without any additional assumptions？

where is a regular measure of non compactness on a Banach space X and is an integrable sequence of X-valued functions；4. Is there a formula such that every regular measure of noncompactness can be represented by the formula？ In this talk we will show that all answers to these questions are “yes”.

报告人简介：程立新，男，数学科学学院教授、博士生导师，厦门大学陈景润特聘教授。

专业方向为：泛函分析、 凸分析、Banach空间几何、非线性几何 。哈尔滨工业大学理学博士学位。南开大学陈省身数学研究所所博士后流动站出站。曾到美国华盛顿大学数学系等十七个国家和地区三十多所高校和科研机构科研合作和学术访问。在国际学术刊物诸如JFA, IJM等发表文章80多篇。培养博士生32人，硕士生64人。自2001年来, 曾十多次邀请作国际学术会议和全国性学术会议的大会邀请报告，例如，在中国数学会学术年会作邀请报告，（第六届和第八届）华人数学家大会作45分钟报告；非线性分析国际会议暨第二十届全国非线性泛函分析大会特邀报告； 作为大会报告人（plenary speaker) 分别在 韩国数学会浦项国际数学年会、第五届Banach和函数空间国际会议（ISBFS2015, 日本）上作大会特邀报告等。分别担任（2008年）首届中国数学会和美数学会联合学术年会第十一分会中方主席和 (2010年) 首届中国数学会和韩国数学会联合学术年会泛函分析分会中方co-chair。自2001年来共主 持科学研究项目11项, 包括1项国家自然科学基金重点项目和5项面上项目、1项国际合作基金项目、1项教育部跨世纪优秀人培养计划项目, 2项教育部博士点基金（博导类）项目。2002年入选"教育部跨世纪优秀人才培养计划" 。现任学院教授委员主任，全国泛函分析空间理论学术联络组成员, 中国数学会非线性泛函分析专业委员会委员。曾获得福建省科学技术二等奖和福建省自然科学二等奖。曾任数学学院教授委员会主任、学术委员会主任和副院长。曾担任全国空间理论学术联络组主任，全国泛函分析空间理论和应用泛函分析大会副主席, 国家自然科学基金委员会数理科学部特邀评委，科技部国家自然科学奖会评专家，中国数学会常务理事以及福建省数学会理事长，《数学进展》等六个国际国内数学学术期刊编委,《厦门大学学报》副主编。
