报告一:Surjective L^p-isometries of Grassmann spaces

报告人: 袁巍副研究员(中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院)

报告摘要:Recently, the research of isometries between substructures of operator algebras has gained much attention. Some remarkable developments include the characterization of the surjective isometries for operator norm between projection lattices of von Neumann algebras given by Geher, Semrl and Mori, and the description of the L^2-isometries on Grassmann spaces in semifinite factors. In this talk, we will describe all surjective L^p-isometries between Grassmann spaces in semifinite factors. To achieve this goal, we also provide a characterization of the surjective L^p-isometries of unitary groups in finite factors.

报告二: Finite von Neumann algebras are clean

报告摘要:Clean rings were defined by W.K. Nicholson in the late 1970s. A ring is clean if its every element can be written as the sum of a unit and an idempotent. In this talk, we will show that every finite von Neumann is clean.
