报告题目:Dirichlet non-improvable sets in Diophantine approximation

报告摘要 Dirichlet’s theorem is a fundamental result in metric Diophantine approximation. The improvability of this theorem was first considered by Davenport and Schmidt. After them, Kleinbock and Wadleigh proposed the concept of Dirichlet improvable point formally in 2018 and launched relevant work. Their results show that the improvability of Dirichlet’s theorem is concerned with the growth of the product of the partial quotients.

In this talk, we present some results on the size of uniformly Dirichlet non–improvable set, the size of exact Dirichlet non–improvable set and metric properties of the product of the partial quotients in continued fractions.

报告人简介:吴军,华中科技大学数学与统计学院教授,国家杰出青年基金获得者。2002年获教育部跨世纪优秀人才,2017年获百千万工程国家级人选。研究方向为度量数论与分形几何,现主持国家自然科学基金重点项目和科技部重点研发计划。
